Rides

Knuckleheads / Caps de Suru

Join The Knuckleheads/Caps de Suru WhatsAp group. Join through our Strava Club, Girona Knuckleheads Cap de Suru.  The members are from all over the planet and all are welcome.  The K-Heads have grown since 2023 to over 300 "members".  Girona residents and visitors. The group regularly posts social rides with the departure location and time, anticipated pace, distance and a link to the route so you can download it ahead of time. The usual starting point is just across the river from the apartment at the Oficina Correos (the post office).  There is typically a meet and greet on Thursday evening at a local cycling themed pub/restaurant.  This is posted on the WhatsAp group page.
The Eat Sleep Cycle shop has a ride leaving the shop to Banyoles and a coffee stop every Monday at 10:00 AM.  See the Eat Sleep Cycle webpage for this ride and others they host.

The GGG are a large, welcoming and fun club.  Women only rides. Great camaraderie. They post rides regularly each week and on the third Sunday of each month they ride in a big group and host a themed lunch, wine tasting and always creative event along their selected route.

The Castelli shop will occasionally post rides and even after dark gravel rides.

Bike Shops

On Forca, near the Cathedral.  Great Service from owner Stelian Jipa in a beautiful shop. He is my "go to" mechanic and bike builder. Many pros and riders from all corners of the globe  are repeat customers. Stelian (Tata) makes the most beautiful custom bikes using the latest technologies and at very reasonable cost. His rentals, with plenty of climbing gearing, all easily swap gravel and road wheels depending on your route of the day. Wonderful, patient advice. He loves to guide customers and friends to out-of-the-way beautiful roads on Sunday mornings. He has a very devoted following including from the Gravel Girls.

A large and spectacularly flashy shop and coffee bar in a restored cir. 1800's theater.  A must to visit.

For Service only also try Dosofftrack Taller, 50m away and left outside the street side front door.

Upon your booking, I will send you a list of favorite restaurants, Tapas bars and cafes.  New spots are opening each season. (Girona is an important foodie destination in Northern Spain.)
